This unlikely tale began with a fateful "swipe" in Amsterdam... Our kinship was forged while exploring the city, country, and surrounding region encompassing ~thousands of kilometers biked, hiked, skated, and driven.
We thoroughly enjoyed the city and the Dutch way of life. A favorite was the King's Day celebrations which turned the whole country orange.
Our adventures soon reached another scale, when we embarked on a 8000 km self-guided road trip through Southern Africa. There were several unforgettable moments while consuming the spectacular scenery, negotiating dubious border crossings, and bush camping among the hippos, hyenas, and elephants.
We enjoyed it so much, that we made a similar journey two years later...
These trips revealed quite a lot about ourselves, which had some tense moments and required a strong collective effort. It was soon clear that we had a unique bond.
In 2021 we relocated to Uppsala Sweden, where we now live in the countryside with our cat "Sniper". This has been a striking transition from the city life in Amsterdam, but has given us an opportunity to "reconnect with our roots".
In March, we will welcome a new member to our family. We are super excited to begin this new chapter together and we invite you to celebrate with us in July!
